  • Boat Tours Around Tangier

Take yourself or a group of up to six people out on the waters surrounding Tangier Island for a tour. While on this tour you will circle Tangier completely by boat, be given Tangier’s history, pull up some working crab-pots, and end with a trip to our crab house. At the crab house you will be able to see how blue-crabs shed their shell and become soft-shells in our salt water tanks! The trip usually lasts between 1-2 hours.

  • Sea-glass & Artifact Hunting

Take a short boat ride north of Tangier in search of Indian artifacts, bottles, sea-glass, buoys, & driftwood. While searching along the waters edge and culling through shells, finding objects that were lost centuries ago is a feeling that brings much excitement! This trip usually lasts about 2 hours and has a limit of up to 6 people. Small buckets, water, and bug spray will be given to you while you are out on this excursion.

  • Kayak Rentals

Rent a kayak with us and experience Tangier in a much more laid back way. While kayaking you will get to see plenty of the wildlife that call Tangier home and paddle through the shallow water grasses. We offer single and double seated kayaks and can be rented by the hour or by the day. A map of different trails you can kayak through and water will be supplied to you before your departure.

  • Steamed Crab Dinners

Come out to our crab house out on the water and enjoy a meal of freshly caught steamed blue-crabs. Steamed by the dozen, 1/2 or whole bushels, you will be able to pick out what size crabs you would like straight from our saltwater tanks! These dinners are offered to visitors who are staying overnight on Tangier at our Inn or one of the various Air B&Bs.

  • Crab-House Tours

Take a tour of our working crab-house where we shed and process our soft-shell crabs! At the crab-house you be able to learn about the blue-crabs molting process. Here you can have hands on encounters with the crabs and other aquatic life. After the tour feel free to sit back on our large deck and take in the sounds and sights of the nature that surrounds!

  • Fishing Charters

Head out on our 25 ft Parker with a group of up to 6 people on a fishing excursion. The Chesapeake Bay is well known for its great fishing! On our fishing excursion we will be targeting Rock-fish, Speckled Trout, Red-Drum, Cobia, and various of other types of fish! These charters will offered during the early mornings and evenings.

  • Birding Tours

Take a trip out to the uninhabited islands where nesting populations of Brown Pelicans, Cormorants, Oyster-Catchers, Black-Skimmers, Gulls, & other various birds call home!

  • Tubing

Let us take you on a tubing excursion where two people at a time can be towed on a raft out on the water behind our boat! This trip is offered at 30 min and 1 hour trips, pending weather conditions. This is a very fun way to get wet in the Chesapeake Bay without fully immersing yourself into the water.

  • Working Waterman Tours

Experience the hard work that goes into being a waterman out on our 32 foot dead rise workboat. While out in the boat we will show you how to crab-scrape & pull crab-pots.

Boat Tours Around Tangier Island

Time to take a tour around Tangier Island and its neighboring islands! See the life that surrounds the island with me on my 25ft center console. I am a Coast Guard certified captain, CPR & First Aid certified, and a knowledgeable local that knows all about what Tangier has to offer! Rates are by the hour per person but you can not get enough of the water then I am up for hire for a complete day trip or maybe consider taking one of my photo workshops!
